It is a good habit to keep your piano closed when not in use at 70% of the time. However, if the lid of the piano is kept closed for too long, mold growth may occur inside the piano. This is especially obvious if your piano is kept in a dark or damp room. 

 No drinks on the piano 

 If the liquid seeps between the piano keys and reaches the interior, it can cause major damage. 
If the liquid on the piano keyboard, wipe off the excess liquid from the keyboard surface.
In order to avoid further drops of water, try not to press any keys.
Don't try to shake up your keyboard, which can drive the liquid deeper into your instrument. No matter it is a digital piano or a portable keyboard piano. Just wait a few days for it to dry. 

 Balance air humidity 
Piano is very sensitive to changes in the humidity of the air. High humidity levels can cause wood to warp, while lower humidity can lead to cracks. 
What’s worse, the internal structure of the piano is very complex, changes in the wood will also affect the tuning, if the wood is loose or tense, the strings will follow suit and go out of tune.
